Sowing Seeds

The other day at work I had a chance to talk to another brother in Christ about sowing seeds. He started talking about how God will Bless you if you sow seed and he used the Passage out of matthew," The parable that Jesus used about the sower who went forth to sow Matthew 13:1-23". The problem was that He was thinking material and Jesus was thinking Spiritual. The seed is the word of God and the harvest is the Lost souls that come to Christ. The Word of God will fall on deaf ears that they will not hear, it will also fall on hard hearts that will not accept it, and it will fall on ones that want to pretend to play church and do what is good on sunday, but come monday they will turn back to the world. Praise My God Johova there will be ones that hear the Word Of God and receive it this is the Good groung that will produce many for the kingdom of God.

I Praise God daily for just one more lost soul to find His Saving Grace. See the sower went forth to sow, but it wasn't for fame, money, prestige. Lets even go as far as to sat a position in the church our a big name for themselves. He was sowing because he loved the Seed Maker, and we are to sow the Word of God because we LOVE HIM and wants to see thelost come to Christ.

So in conclussion just as I loving expland it to my friend it is not that we do it for prosperity. We do it because we want Gods Kingdom to grow and lost to be saved.

I thank God for the Men and Women that Stand on the Solid Rock of God our Firm Foundation.

May  God Bless You Pastor Steve

Amen. Preach it, brother. Shake that bush. Seed sowing indeed is for the work of God in hearts, not for personal gain. You have said it very well.

this is a very good topic to solidify especially in ministering to people. the act of sowing a seed in a persons life sometimes seems like nothing especially when you don't see the results right away.
its an invisible act that God sees. we sometimes can get discouraged when we look at the feedback from those we minister to but in God's eyes its recorded. He will bring increase to those seeds that have been planted and in eternity we will see that what looked foolish on earth was so wise in God's eyes. thanks for posting this blog. it reminds us why we do what we do without getting weary of doing it.
