Greetings in our Lord and Savior:

I fully agree with the above, and would like to add that for some of us (speaking for myself) it took time to realize that I was to some degree caught up in the tradition of my youth. In other words, and while the church on the corner is so valuable and needs to be encouraged to "press on," and very importantly, "rightly handling the Word of God," it is not the only medium for evangelization or fellowship. Doing church, participating as a member is very much about relationships, and extended family relationships built on truth and trust. I pray daily for protection of myself and those in my care regarding the awesome responsibility entrusted to me by God and those hurting folks who seek the love of the God of creation Who restores His children through faith out of a Love sometimes beyond our own understanding.

All that said and as Dr. Dave has stated, "Some of us preach on Sunday mornings while others “preach” the good news message through counseling sessions; hospital visits, prison visits, street evangelism, sitting at our dining room tables or over a cup of coffee. We have been entrusted with an awesome opportunity and responsibility to carry the good news of Jesus Christ to our generation. [So,] Let’s seize the opportunity to present Christ."

Have a blessed Lord's Day!

Yours in Christ,
Rev. Tom Miller, B.A. M.A.
