Ordination is usually the main designation that comes to mind when we think of clergy credentials. However, most churches and denominations also have the designations of Commissioned and Licensed. These titles give clear identification as a member of the clergy and clearly identify the level of responsibility. The commissioned minister is generally the entry level while ordination is normally reserved for pastors and other seasoned members of the clergy.

There is no doubt that our country and the world for that matter is looking for help, but are they looking in the right places? My knee jerk reaction is to say no. They should be seeking the Lord. However, the next thought that comes is Romans 8:7-8 which states; “because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so; and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”
As Christians, Ordained Pastors and Ministers we must understand that the lost do not seek the Lord. Read the rest of this entry »
