What We Stand ForIt is said: "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything." This manual does not contain theological doctrines and great lists of do's and don'ts. Ministers of the National Conservative Christian Church are encouraged to preach and teach from biblical principles, personal conviction and from their own training. A dimension of being a "non-traditional church" is the precept that we are Christians, not denominationals. You may be of one denominational background or another, and may even be leaving that structure for an environment where you can see Christ on a regular basis. That is up to you. You will or you won't bring Christ into your ministry environment, but that presence cannot be brought about by any denominational headquarters. These are principles upon which we stand. Ministerial leaders are permitted to bring their doctrinal beliefs, such as Calvinist, Wesleyan, Armenian, Evangelical, Charismatic, Pentecostal, etc. with them, as long as what they teach and counsel is biblical. We are not going to criticize your pre-millennial, post-tribulation, mid-trib position that you believe is supported in certain scripture. There are more fundamental issues of faith that are far more important to living life here in the nasty now and now, before we can take those folks to the sweet by and by. The National Conservative Christian Church is evangelical in behavior and an organization member of the National Association of Evangelicals. We see the ministry of the church as the ministry of Christ, focused on restoration and reconciliation, both between people and between us and God. We believe in observing two sacraments of the church, Baptism of Believers (water baptism described in Romans 6:3-11) and The Lords Supper (Communion) (described in Luke 22:14-20 and 1 Corinthinians 11:23-32). The leadership also believes in the Trinity. We believe in the fact that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and we should preach and teach that how we treat our bodies is reflective of how we treat the Lord. We also point to that care given our bodies, or abuse thereof, as being a behavior which is either under submission to God or it is under submission to the humanist self. Therein lies much need for counsel and instruction. This is described in 1 Corininthians 6:18-20, Romans 3:12-14, and Romans 1:18-32. The following is a list of ministry or lifestyle practices we will not endorse, as it has no biblical foundation or is in opposition to biblical principles.
~ Abnormal sexual practices ~ Acupuncture ~ Astrology ~ Democratic church congregational government ~ Dungeons and Dragons ~ Evolution ~ Hallucinogenic drug use ~ Harry Potter anti-God mind games ~ Horoscope ~ Homosexuality ~ Humanist psychology ~ Hypnotism ~ International rights of the child ~ Marriage between anything or anyone other than one male human and one female human ~ Metaphysics ~ Mind science ~ One World government or any global majesty other than Jesus Christ Lordship ~ Perverted thoughts, behaviors or appearance ~ Séances ~ Sodomy ~ Tattoos ~ Witches and Warlocks ~ Witchcraft ~ Ungodly lifestyles One of the causes of societal collapse is the lack of personal responsibility expected in biblical behavior. We believe God knew what He was talking about when it was written that parents are to discipline the children, train up those we are responsible for, and teach them the ways of the Lord. They are not to discover all of that on their own out in the alleys of society. We also find clear instruction in scripture that basic societal behavior begins with observing the Ten Commandments, and expecting biblical responsibility of parents, biblical responsibility of children, biblical responsibility of husbands, and biblical responsibility of wives. That also applies to Christian ministry leaders. Standing on certain biblical principles provides us a foundation upon which to join together, for the larger battle against the enemy, which is not another church organization. We, and you, are part of the Body of Christ and as such should function properly, as He has called us, uniquely ministering from our own gifting, and fitting together as would strengthen the whole in these days of darkening societal decay. Do what God has called you to do, with vigor and zeal for the Lord. Faithful is He who has called you, and He shall bring it to pass. (1 Thessalonians 5:24) |
