Pastoral Christian Counseling
A biblical counselor is a shepherd who reaches out to the person the Lord sends their way, to pastor them to a higher level of life experience, using the Bible and the tools of his or her training. The counselor disciples that person with the sinkin’ thinkin’ to be transformed by the renewing of their mind. Ephesians 4:11 lists those ministers in the pastor category. Biblical counselors are commissioned, licensed or ordained ministers. Just because their shepherd role is done one-on-one, instead of in front of a group, doesn’t mean that the counselor can’t have just as much of an impact on their town as any local church pastor.
Every biblical counselor must expect to have a net impact on their circle of influence, as a result of their training and the call of God on their lives to be His special agent in their town. Net impact is the net result of those who accept your mentoring, minus the ones who reject God and return to their former level of life behavior.
The National Conservative Christian Church will endorse and provide ordination, licensing or commissioning to adequately and properly trained candidates.
