Operating a Temple Maintenance Counseling ministry

Elevate your influence within your community, expand your effectiveness in ministry, and increase your on-going income.  There are many callings within the ministry of Jesus Christ.  Some are called to pastoring, some are missionaries, some are evangelists, some are chaplains, some are counselors, and some are teachers, but all have a calling to be influential in the body of Christ.  Often, mature believers sense a call of the Lord to minister to specific groups of people, but there is no place for them to do that service within the traditional church.  There are just so many spots for pastors or elders within a local church.

However, you may have a desire to use your gifts and talents for the Lord if the right opportunity came along.  Perhaps helping people manage their own body, as the Bible refers as the Temple of the Holy Spirit, would be something you never thought of before.  Temple maintenance has become a huge need in the body of Christ, as well as our entire population around us.

If you are not afraid to talk to people about important issues in their lives, and those people could find out about your service, you could transform the lives of hundreds of people.  You will need to become properly equipped for this ministry, just like any other calling.  There will be a time of training to learn how and what to do.  There will be an investment in materials, tools and equipment, just like any new personal impact service.

The National Conservative Christian Church has developed a course of study that leads to a person beginning a Temple Maintenance Counseling ministry.  If properly prepared, spiritually mature, and adequately endorsed, you may even be eligible for ministerial credentials.  That however, is not the subject of this paper.

The subject is the serious physical condition of most people who attend church.  Of course you know people who live on your street whose bodies are a mess also.  God created the human race in His image, in three parts.  We are each made up of a body, a soul, and a spirit.  Each of these three dimensions influence the other two.  If you are experiencing some mental anguish, you are probably not interested in taking care of your body, going to a fitness center, or even eating properly.  If your body is in pain, you may have an unpleasant attitude.  If you are financially desperate, you probably will not care for your body very well or even desire to attend church services.  We are three dimension creations and live life with all three connected.

The question is: Who is the custodian of the temple?  Who is it that keeps your physical machinery in good repair and operating at optimal effectiveness?  Who or what is controlling your ultimate life expectancy?  If you are a person of responsibility, you will say: "I am."

You then are a person who gets their oil changed in your car every 3,000 to 5,000 miles to extend the longevity of your automobile investment.  You make sure your roof doesn't leak in your house, before the rain comes, and you have a maintenance contract on your heating and air conditioning systems.  You are responsible, so you see to it that your children see a dentist regularly, you get a hair cut before you look like the head of a lion, and you get an annual physical exam at the doctor's office.

Where do people go if their life is not in sync and things aren't functioning properly, or they don't look the way God planned for them to look, or they are showing signs of premature aging?   Where is the nearest Temple Maintenance Counselor?

Ministry Description

This is written to those who may have an interest in becoming such a person.  The N.C.C.C. is assisting God-called individuals who understand this rapidly expanding need in our society, to equip themselves, to learn the important issues, questions and answers, and to operate a public ministry of Temple Maintenance and lifestyle improvement.  In the process, they will also become positive role models of three-dimension health and wellness, plus create a substantial income stream that could become willable to their family.

Personal Temple Maintenance is only a part of the larger ministry to the complete person, all three dimensions, spirit, soul and body.  Where does one begin to transform someone or themselves, into the person God created them to be?  As a trained counselor, you may observe a person's ungodly behavior and say that is where the focus of attention should begin.  That individual may have an entirely different perspective, such as "I'm Okay, You're Okay" and reject any spiritual or behavioral intervention.

For a minister of the gospel, a handicapped person can be handicapped physically, mentally, emotionally, psychologically or spiritually.  Which connection is available right now, for you to begin to influence them toward becoming God's improved version? This is a matter of widening your own effectiveness and influence to a larger demographic of the population in your town.  If you have in interest in significantly increasing your influence on behalf of the Lordship of Jesus, continue reading.

The larger view of this ministry is the Whole Life Renewal Ministry, spirit, soul and body.  That is what we are viewing as a counseling ministry to the whole person.  A continuum of that, within a church, small group or fellowship ministry is referred in our plan as a Three Dimension Fellowship.  That is the continuous pastoral influence into the same three dimensions of the whole person, spirit, soul and body.

In the context of a continuous whole person or three dimension ministry, sometimes called an Affinity Three Dimension Fellowship, we will focus on the Life Experience Quadrant. The four quads include growing up or maturing in the following four areas:

  • Faith and Governing Values
  • Family and Relationships
  • Finance and Money Management, and
  • Fitness and Health

Currently in our society there is increased awareness of the problems and consequences of the physical dimension.  There is a huge quantity of attention being brought to the topics of prescription drugs as solutions to physical problems, along with their dangerous even life-threatening side effects.  Likewise, there are hours of commercials aimed at weight management and the many options for spending thousands of dollars on some brand of diet product.  Millions of people are interested in doing something about their weight.

Therefore, instead of trying to connect with a person who is resisting counseling at any level, our Temple Maintenance program is designed to provide a faith-based connection to all of those thousands of people, even those in church, who could be motivated to focus on their physical appearance, health and longevity.  We already know that addressing one dimension of a person's life is bound to influence the other two dimensions of that same life.

For most people, this program begins with getting their weight under control.  However, our entire program is much broader than a weight loss plan. It is all about transforming one's thinking about Temple Maintenance, eating, physical care, longevity and lifestyle.  They will be introduced to the three dimensions of life, spirit, soul and body, where looking toward the future becomes exciting.

Proper and adequate cellular nutrition is at the foundation of this long-term program.  Our societal eating habits have become so distorted over the last quarter century that most people have no clue how to eat, what to eat, how often to eat, and what was once simple has now become complex. Therefore, nutritional supplementation is mandatory in our society and our normal food sources to achieve optimal health and longevity. The Lord has directed our steps toward all of the tools, resources, products, and training materials to transform the lives of those who are willing to become personally responsible for their future.

Let's look at the specific ingredients you will need to become effective.

  • A course of study from the N.C.C.C. entitled Temple Maintenance Counseling. It consists of three textbooks requiring an exam each, plus a catalog of nutritional products and samples for yourself. The course is a fundamental requirement to understanding Temple Maintenance Counseling and weight management.
  • A Microlife BodyGem metabolism measuring instrument. This is a state-of-the-art handheld indirect calorimeter. It creates a metabolic fingerprint that is used to supply critical information to manage your metabolism.
  • You will need to purchase Microlife BalanceLog Software for your personal and client use in the office. This is a calorie monitoring system.
  • A Tanita scale will be used to record the weight and Body Fat Index of each new client during their assessment appointment.
  • Also used at that time and at weekly group Temple Maintenance Check-ins is a wrist cuff Blood Pressure monitor.
  • You will register as an associate with Univera Life Sciences in order to establish a compensation record for the nutritional and weight management products in our system.
  • The self-administered exercise video programs recorded on DVDs are TAE BO workouts and will come from Billy Blanks or BG Productions, Inc.
  • You will need a professional location or office to house your work and to meet clients. The primary use of the office is for the initial assessment and enrollment process, plus monthly progress evaluations.
  • Since group therapy or support group modality is utilized, a gathering place for the number of clients you plan for, must be arranged.

All of the small tools are "self-administered" devices or systems, which means that the entire system requires no medical practitioner.  There are no invasive medical procedures, such as taking a blood sample, saliva or urine sample. Client education is available and encouraged through the reading material you will offer.

Physical exercise is required and can be done by clients individually at home or within small support groups at designated locations, using the TAE BO workout materials.

If there are any apparent medical conditions, a medical exam by a physician is encouraged.  We offer no medical advice and do not prescribe or recommend any prescription drugs.  We recommend clients see their personal physician about any specific drug they are taking.  Our Temple Maintenance plan does not require drugs.

Local promotion of your ministry or business will be necessary to launch a successful endeavor, aimed toward those people you would like to help the most.  That could be through local churches, Christian bookstores, Christian radio stations, and other locations where Christians will learn of your services.

Scope and Sequence of Temple Maintenance Counseling

The scope and sequence of operating a Temple Maintenance Counseling Center begins with the client coming in for the first appointment, which is a physical assessment, questionnaire, and enrollment in our system.  At that time the client will have their blood pressure taken using a self-administered battery operated wrist cuff.  You will have them remove their shoes and stand on the Tanita BFI scale, which will measure their weight and their Body Fat Index.

Using the BodyGem indirect calorimeter you will learn and record their resting metabolic rate (RMR).  This is used in the following step.

The client will be instructed in the use of the BalanceLog software on your office computer, so they can input their entire food and beverage intake daily for the entire duration of their program.  The information from the scale and the BodyGem will be entered into the BalanceLog program upon completing the registration.

The client will be introduced to the Univera Inthinity weight management system and be given their Guidebook, a pedometer and first month's supply of MetaFuel, MetaBurn and MetaPower, along with a four-pack of Essentials all-in-one super food: balanced nutrition for a healthy weight loss experience. After they have achieved their goal weight, you will adjust their nutritional supplementation to less weight management and increased anti-oxidants and cellular repair nutrition.

They will be registered at Univera LifeSciences as an Advantage Customer, which will entitle them to earn points on all of their orders, to be applied to free products.  They will need to maintain a standing auto-shipped order called a Convenience Plan of at least 150 points per month.  Since their first order is being handed to them on the spot, the initial order on their membership will be drop-shipped to the counselor as a replacement.  This order will currently be $275.50 plus shipping.  The repeat orders for the duration of their plan will currently be $268.95 plus shipping.

They will also learn at the assessment appointment that the weekly Temple Maintenance Check-ins are replacements for weekly private counseling and they are saving large dollars by attending these group sessions for just $5.  Plus, they are told that every time they bring a guest to the Check-in, they and their guest get in FREE.  So, every time a member brings a guest, they save another $5.

We encourage all participants in the Temple Maintenance program to register online as a member of the Billy Banks Club. The TAE Bo Team Leaders have created an exciting community to help you with all of your fitness and weight loss goals. There is motivation and challenge to you every step of the way. Victory is expected and this will give everyone access to cutting edge TAE BO technique Workout Rotation Calendars tailored to your fitness level, and fat blasting meal plans and nutrition tips to help you transform your entire body.

That leads the orientation to the final subject.  There is a way for the client to have all of their Univera Inthinity and other nutritionals at no cost.  They simply request you to convert their Advantage Customer membership over to an enrolling Associate and pay $40 to Univera.  They must maintain their monthly 150 point Convenience Plan.  Their own product cost will be covered by their monthly income check as soon as they reach the Executive Associate level, by enrolling other members of their family and friends, each of whom become Advantage Customers and maintain a monthly Convenience Plan of at least 100 points.  That is usually ten individuals.

This initial appointment includes a complete description of the program, what is expected of the client, and payment options. They will be given a copy of the book: The Metabolic Plan. This initial assessment should not be below $80 for a 50 to 60 minute session, however you may wish to add $15 to the appointment for the book.

Once a month there should be a Progress Evaluation Appointment, where the BalanceLog reports and revised weight and BFI are discussed.  One-month goals and objectives are agreed upon at these monthly sessions.  The normal fee for these 30-minute sessions should be $50.

Between every Progress Evaluation appointment, the client is to participate in the weekly Temple Maintenance Check-ins at a time and designated location.  Upon arrival each client steps on the scale and has their weight and BFI recorded at the sign-in table.  The leader should be prepared with some prizes. At the client's first Check-in she or he is given a copy of MoneyWise Weight Loss.  The presentations follow the outline in this book.  The book Quit Digging Your Grave with a Knife and Fork is the follow-up in the lecture series.  These books must be purchased.

There is a registration table where each person signs in and hands the receptionist $5.  That is to cover the rent on the meeting room.  They will also turn in their BalanceLog reports and move on to their seats quickly.  These sessions are not for exercise, although certain exercises may be taught at that time. These are for information, motivation, inspiration and testimonies.

The length of the Temple Maintenance plan for each client will vary, but is usually between 4 and 6 months. Serious weight loss may take a full year to achieve the objectives.  During that time, the client is expected to attend all of the weekly Temple Maintenance Check-ins and their monthly Progress Evaluation appointments.  You are going to see life-changing experiences as a result of your inspiring ministry.

After three months of becoming oriented to a new way of eating and body conditioning, they are to be invited to participate in a support group, which begins to move them into the other two dimensions of our life experience.  These are called Living Room 3-D Fellowships.  This is where more spiritual ministry and lifestyle education will occur.  Many lives will be transformed within the 3-D fellowships, marriages will be restored, teenagers will learn how to become responsible adults and Jesus will be glorified.  In most cases these will be weekly evening gatherings.  The 3-D Fellowship gatherings do not replace the weekly Check-ins for clients until their plan has been completed.

It is expected that as the Temple Maintenance Counseling plan for that person is completed, they will have been assimilated into the 3-D Fellowship for long term transforming of their life experience to the credit of Jesus Christ.  The Temple Maintenance Counselor may or may not lead the local Affinity 3-D Fellowship.  They will grow and leadership for more groups will be developed within.

It is envisioned that the Temple Maintenance Counseling and the Affinity Three Dimension Fellowship is a long-term ministry effecting the growing up of thousands of people under your influence over time.  You will be able to retire on the residual income from this ministry.

This business model is exclusive to the National Conservative Christian Church and its ministerial members. Chartered Ministry Centers of the N.C.C.C. must be lead by credentialed ministers of the N.C.C.C.  This is a complete functioning business model to maximize the effectiveness of counseling within the three dimensions of mankind, spirit, soul and body.  Every ingredient in this business model has been thoroughly researched and connected to our system for a specific reason.  This business model will not effectively achieve its intended purposes if the counselor deletes some of the steps or ingredients, or chooses to substitute books, products and suppliers.

The self-administered health monitoring equipment and supplies, including the BodyGem Resting Metabolic Rate measuring device, the BalanceLog daily monitoring of food intake and exercise, and the wrist cuff blood pressure device, shall all come from Microlife USA, Inc.  All of the Inthinity weight management products and the organic nutritional food supplements shall all be supplied by Univera Inc. and no other products shall be used or implemented within the Temple Maintenance business model.

The self administered exercise programs will be TAE BO Amplified workouts recorded on DVDs from Billy Blanks, to be executed at home or within small support groups of Temple Maintenance participants, and no other exercise programs will be supported or tolerated. Billy Blanks TAE BO videos and supplies are available from the N.C.C.C. or from BG Productions, Inc.

Each authorized Temple Maintenance counselor shall register at Univera Life Sciences as an Associate and establish a standing order Convenience Plan equal to 150 product points monthly, in order to participate in the compensation plan of that company. This entire method of creating a residual income for counselors and ministers will not operate on any other company's business platform. This course of training with its books and examinations, along with the taking of Univera Xperia liquid concentrate antioxidant beverage is a part of the experience of preparing to be an experiential counselor in the Temple Maintenance field.

From the dawn of creation, through life on earth, and into eternity, God has a design and a plan for your life.  Go against that plan and you will know stress, frustration, pre-mature illness and disease.  Live as He created you to live and you will know peace, meaning, and a full life that is as healthy as possible. Connecting God's Word and the ever-advancing knowledge of medical science, will reveal God's intentions for the whole person: the spirit, the soul, and the body.

As a Temple Maintenance Counselor, you will be illuminating the connections between the physical, the mental, and the spiritual dimensions.  Offering scientifically and scripturally sound responses to life's most persistent concerns: the heartfelt issues of stress, behavior, relationships, disease, fear, anger, illness, and death. Continuing care and group support will be available under your leadership with an Affinity Three Dimension Fellowship.  This course will point the way toward a life of better health, comfort and longevity, for yourself and for your clients and followers for many years to come.  We congratulate you on your desire to expand the significance of your influence upon those God sends into your path.
