HOME BASE OPERATIONS Most overseas ministries, as well as many state-side traveling ministries, do not have the time, personnel, nor facilities to take care of all the daily administrative requirements involved in operating as a non-profit ministry. Our Sarasota office is the "home office" to these ministries, providing a professional "caretaker" who understands the needs of the traveling or absentee minister. The services provided include: - Daily Mail Box Service (Our mail box becomes your address.) As soon as your service begins, you should notify (or we will) all of your correspondents of your new address. All of your mail will be handled as you direct us. - Remail service by Express Mail, Federal Express or U.P.S. or Fax messages and copies of letters as ordered, to predetermined destinations. You may designate certain types of mail to be forwarded to you unopened, or you may direct us to open the mail and process it according to your instructions. - Receipts of all donations are sent to the donors, plus a list of all receipts is prepared for the minister monthly. The receipts are tax deductible. - Mailing List Maintenance. We correct any address changes which we are notified of, and add or subtract any names as directed. - Mail periodic newsletters. The minister must write or compose the material to be printed in a newsletter. We will provide a standard format for the style of newsletter desired, and will type and set it using a desktop publishing computer program. We will have it printed by our printing department, print and affix address labels and mail the newsletter no more often than one a month. - Pay personal and ministry bills from authorized funds. This can be done with the use of a checking account provided by the minister for this purpose, or we will use donations which have come in and are credited to the minister's account. - Money transfer to the ministers or missionaries where they are located or deposited locally to the minister's account. This is done weekly where practical. - Travelers Message Center. A telephone number will be given to the minister, which people can use to reach the minister, as an answering service. The charge for this service is merely seven percent (7%) of the cash flow of the cash flow for credentialed members. Since this is the place supplying their ministry needs, a portion of the tithe of the receipts is left here. If any single check is $1,000 or more the deduction is only 5% of that item. The minimum monthly amount shall be no less than $88 monthly, and does not include printing costs, postage, fax or express charges. |
